Forecast Synopsis: 7/13

Okay, okay, so this is coming 106 minutes past 7/13...I know.

Tonight: Cloud cover over NE TN may limit lows to the 58F-61F range. The rest of the area can expect a few clouds, and temperatures in the middle to upper 50's.

Saturday: 00Z NAM is very skimpy on rainfall...and the 00Z GFS doesn't even mention it. I will side with the NAM, and include a 20% area-wide chance for isolated afternoon thunderstorms. Skies should remain partly cloudy...though early-morning cloudiness is not out of the question. Temperatures will get into the middle to upper 80's...with upper 70's to lower 80's for the mountains.

Saturday Night: Any lingering showers or thunderstorms will end early. It will be a bit milder tomorrow night...with lows generally in the lower 60's. The mountains will bottom out in the lower to middle 50's.

Sunday: NAM is suggesting a more widespread, but still scattered, rain and thunderstorm event. A front situated over the Ohio Valley will come close to the area...but not move through. This will help with thunderstorm development...though I'm still erring on the side of caution, as the GFS isn't playing this up as much.
