Stalled Front Could Bring Relief...

After dealing with this drought for this long, you've got to love what the 00Z NAM places on NE TN's front porch...

We could see a decent shot of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday as the front slowly presses on south. This is much-needed, as some areas haven't seen measurable rainfall in over a month. We will see much cooler temperatures to close out our week. How much cooler? I'll post on that tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the 00Z GFS is a bit more pessimistic...

While it cannot be thrown out, I am tending to lean more to the NAM's forecast...though not as bullish. Near-2" QPF seems a bit much for this event...
