Line of Thunderstorms Headed into the Tri-Cities & SW VA

A line of thunderstorms is moving in just in time for rush hour. These thunderstorms are ahead of a shortwave. Ahead of the line, temperatures are well into the 80's with dew points in the upper 60's to lower 70's. The sun was out earlier as well. Because of this, there is some instability. We could see a strong to severe storm or two before it's all said and done.

These storms are moving northeast at 20-25 MPH. They will impact much of Northeast TN by 5 PM...and will blow through Southwest Virginia through 6 PM. Small hail, gusty winds, vivid lightning, and heavy rainfall are all possible.
