Few Storms In the Area...

A few showers and thunderstorms are advancing quickly through Northeast Tennessee at around 30 MPH. The NWS has issued a statement on these, advising of small hail and 30 to 40 MPH winds. They were pretty impressive earlier, but are now weakening pretty quickly. Below is a radar loop, including tracks and lightning strikes.

There are more storms to our northwest. They might hold together and move into the area later this evening.

In addition, a line of rain is moving through Southwest Virginia. This, too, is moving very quickly...which is not good news for drought relief.
