Snow Advisory Issued for W NC
A snow advisory has been issued for Avery, Grahm, Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, Swain, and Yancey Counties in Western North Carolina until 6 AM EDT Saturday.
Snow continues across Western North Carolina and parts of East Tennessee. A broken band of snow, along with a band of snow behind it, is making its way to the area. IF they hold together, they could stall out at the NC/TN border, as the original snow band did earlier in the evening. Another inch or two is possible from that.
Thus far, at 2500 FT, I've received 2 inches of snow, compacted now to 1 1/2 inches. Still need to update snow totals for the area. (Man, I'm bad at that!)
Be careful, as temperatures dipping into the teens and twenties will lead to icy driving conditions tonight into tomorrow morning.
