Upcoming Pattern Flip
Don't pack away the slickers and boots, or pants and coats, yet ladies and gentlemen...we've got more wild weather ahead! Yes, you read it right...yet another "pattern flip" we've become familiar with this winter. A strong front will plow into the region the middle of next week. Ahead of the front...severe thunderstorms are possible. Behind it...snow? Yes, we're talking about that big of a temperature drop. Temperatures over 20 degrees below normal are quite possible. To put that in perspective...we will be as cold late next week as we have been warm early this week. Things really look to freeze up around Eastern weekend. Accumulating snows are still a possibility this winter/spring. Could this be the year of one of those famed Appalachian "spring snowstorms?" I've warned over the past month that this is a possibility.
