Lunar Eclipse Early, Snow Possible Late

A full lunar eclipse will be visible tonight starting at sundown. It should last a few hours. Things for the most part should be clear, with a few roaming clouds. That will change tonight. An approaching front will topple temperatures into the 20's. Along with it comes the chance for rain, changing quickly to snow. Little or no accumulation is expected for the TRI. The mountainous areas could see an inch or so, except for the mountains along the TN/NC border, who could see as much as 2".

A full forecast will come later. Maybe even a few photos of the eclipse!

*The NWS in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a snow advisory for counties along the TN/NC border.
