Evening & Overnight Showers...Possibly with a Twist?

A developing surface trough to the southwest of the area is spreading a few showers into the area this evening...and should continue to overnight. Most of the rain will be on the light side...and scattered, at best. A quick check of the current conditions page shows temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s in the valleys and upper 20s to middle 30s in the higher elevations. Temperatures shouldn't drop too much further...and, in some locations, may actually rise. No accumulation of ice or snow is expected...except possibly in the highest elevations, such as Grandfather Mountain (currently at 29 degrees). Even there, don't expect much.
