More Scattered Storms
Standard afternoon diurnal convection is once again firing across the area. Several areas of interest exist today...mainly over NC. However, thunderstorms are beginning to fire across NE TN as well.
First off, let's head over to Ashe County where a Flash Flood Warning has been issued until 1000 PM tonight.
Radar estimates indicate up to 4"has fallen in a short amount of time in some parts of the county. Watch out for street flooding, flooded ditches, creek, streams, and possible mudslides.
There are also a spattering of severe thunderstorm warnings across the area. Tazewell County, VA is under a warning until 615 PM EDT...and Grayson County, VA is under a warning until 600 PM EDT.
Watch out, as more storms are developing, and have the potential to become strong to severe, possibly producing flash flooding along the way.
