Extreme Heat has a Firm Grip on the Area

A strong ridge of high pressure over the area is heating us up...big time. Highs have ranged from the lower to upper 90's so far this week...and we're not finished yet. In fact, today may be the hottest day yet. I would not be shocked to see a 100°F reading this afternoon. Friday looks rough as well...though temperatures will drop a bit, as the high begins to move away from our area. Saturday and Sunday look to cool down a bit, as the high centers itself elsewhere, taking the extreme heat with it.
