Fireworks a Go...Partly Cloudy Skies Dominate
The weather for firework shows looks to be near perfect this afternoon and evening. Only a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorms exists...mainly over the mountains of East Tennessee. Less cloudcover will allow for warmer temperatures...and greater instability. That instability could spark a shower or thunderstorm. Any development won't last long.
It may be a bit warm and humid, however. Temperatures may reach into the middle to upper 80's...and dew points are well into the 60's.
Please be careful while shooting fireworks. If the brown grass doesn't give it away already...it's been pretty dry. The NWS has some tips to ensure no fires flare up...
