Area of Moderate to Heavy Rain Headed Into Area

A large area of rain with a few embedded thunderstorms is moving into the area currently. This is associated with a shortwave moving toward the region. Modeling suggests another shortwave could move in later tonight...possibly bringing more rainfall.

Locally heavy rainfall is possible. Watch out for ponding on roadways...as well as flash flooding.
